Fractal calligraphy;Sierpinski's gasket;Pythagorean tree
Rooted in ancient Chinese binary and ternary cosmological ideas, through the generation of infinite, congruent brushstrokes and characters, Chinese calligraphy is fractal. Starting from Sierpinski's gasket, this paper explains and demonstrates fractal calligraphy by applying the algorithms behind this triangular fractal, the Pythagorean tree, the binary decomposition, and the Mandelbrot and Julia sets, etc., to calligraphy. This paper also discusses the connections among the Fuxi Sixty-four Hexagram Diagram, selected trigrams, tetragrams, hexagrams, and the Cantorian triadic bar. These connections reveal that Shao Yong's (1011-1077) insightful hexagram interpretations as well as Laozi's triadic cosmology both reflect the spirit of fractals.

In order to ensure the healthy development of distribution center (DC), it is necessary to constitute the evaluation method This paper deals with establishing the evaluation method of DC by grey reltional analysis (GRA). Firstly, the parameters of the indices system were selected, such as the rationality of location, the efficiency of space utilization and the level of information et al. Secondly, qualitative and quantitative data were collected using questionnaires, interviews and measurements from six DO in Zhejiang Province, Jiangsu Province and Shanghai. Thirdly, the six DCs chose from the three provinces were evaluated according to the indices system. At last, the best DC were determined It shows that the sustainable development evaluation method based on GRA is simple and has a promising prospect.
This paper discusses the fractal nature of Chinese calligraphy. By comparing the Cantorian triadic bar with the Fuxi Sixty-four Hexagram Sequence Diagram that defines the cosmological and brush-and-ink-related technical significances of Chinese calligraphy, the author argues that the Fuxi Sixty-four Hexagram Sequence Diagram not only shares some similarities with the Cantorian triadic bar, but also defines the fractal nature of Chinese calligraphy. With the help of Technical Calligraphy Studies, Chinese calligraphy can be understood to be not only fractal but also algorithmic.
